Message from the Dean |
| Dear AGO Members,
It's hard to think that we'll soon be back into a fall schedule. Where has the summer gone?! As you have probably seen, Don Black has put together the program schedule for the fall. Thanks, Don! I hope that many will be able to participate in the Sept. Wildlife Images visit and dinner in Grants Pass. I'm sure a good time will be had by all. I'm so sorry that I will not be able to attend (I have to admit I've never visited Wildlife Images although I'd like to), since I don't get back from Russia until the next day. There is one piece of business which I've asked Don to take care of at the Sept. meeting and that is the formal election of Mark Herrett to our convention fund committee. The Bylaws of that committee state that election must take place at a regular chapter meeting. No one else has expressed any interest in running, to the best of my knowledge. I know that Don and the program committee continue to work on programs for the rest of the year. We are working on several where it's just been difficult to get in touch with possible presenters because of summer holidays. So do keep watching, for we hope we can have all the plans made sooner rather than later! Linda Borecki and I have worked on the chapter survey which Mark will be sending out and collating. I will be sending that to him shortly. I know in the past it has been very helpful to have the results of this survey to use as information in discussion with churches in raising fees, especially for playing weddings and memorial services. So, if you have a regular church job, please do fill out the survey and return it to Mark. Have a wonderful time at the September meeting and I'll look forward to seeing you in October. As always, if you have any questions or concerns about the chapter, please contact me. Thanks----Peg. |
