Message from the Dean

Welcome to our webpage! Visitors might like to know that our Chapter is tiny, but enjoys almost 100% participation in Chapter activities. Our community (Eureka, Arcata, McKinleyville, Fortuna, Trinidad) is on the beautiful North Coast of California and is 200 miles from any population center of any size and surrounded by redwood forest. Pipe organs in the area range from a one-manual tracker At HSU to a new Charles Kegg III/30. Our organists include a DMA-holder in organ performance practice and several organists with music degrees from HSU. We welcome all communication from other organists! We offer organ scholarships which pay for one/half of 12 private lessons. Contact the Dean of the Chapter for application forms.Despite our small size we have enticed John Walker, Timothy Howard, Barbara Baird and Julia Brown, James Welch and Ken Cowan to perform here in recent recitals! The "Prince of the Organ", Fred Swann is scheduled to perform in May 2010!
