Message from the Dean

The AGO Board joins with me in extending a huge thank-you to Richard Cencibaugh, Laurell Huber, Helga Medd , Wayne Huber and the Pacific Brass and Faye DeLong for planning and participating in the November Organ Spectacular. The second annual display of the Morton organ at Warnors Theatre was indeed "spectacular." Richard was a master of the instrument again, bringing out the orchestral, classical and popular musical treats. The Pacific Brass played a rousing "Fanfare" at the beginning and played with Meredith Wing
on the wonderful "Poeme Heroique" by Dupre. Then there were the students to wow us! Many who played last year showed amazing progress. Thanks to the students Dong Yoon Lee, Tyler Baker, Anne Deffebach, Kate Deffebach, Thomas Melton, Luke Shrestha, Hannah Zentner, James Tsay and Tyrell McKenzie.

I recommend the exciting afternoon in Hanford - "Magnificent Pipes." What an unusual event - you will hear 5 historic organs, the Hanford Fox theatre organ, band organ and grinder organ music - plus a buffet lunch. More information follows.

"And on earth, peace." We as church musicians are so blessed this time of year to participate in bringing beautiful music to those in our churches and communities. Surrounding all our efforts, may peace be yours. Peace is a walk we can choose, and sharing the peace and happiness of Christmas music will certainly come through as our fingers and feet move and our eyes watch directors! Let alleluias fill the air!
