Message from the Dean |
| I hope you and your choir will join us for a Sing-a-Long MESSIAH on Sunday, November 25 at 4:00 pm. Trinity Baptist Church will host this event in their beautiful new sanctuary. The church is located on 504 South Oak Street, Seneca, SC. Please arrive by 3:45 for seating in the choir loft.
This is a wonderful way to begin your Christmas season by inviting your choirs and other interested folks to sing favorite Messiah choruses together. Singers are asked to bring their own music scores if possible. Limited copies of Messiah (G. Schirmer and Novello editions) are available to borrow. Non singers are also invited to come and enjoy the music! Please let me know if you’re interested in participating: dwilcox@saintmarkumcseneca.org or call the church office 864-882-2603. Dr. Richard Williamson, Professor of Music and Head of Choral Activities, Anderson University will conduct. Guest soloists are: Deedy Francis, soprano - Associate Professor of Music, Anderson University Rebecca Yates, alto – Adjunct vocal instructor, Anderson University Chuck Chandler, Tenor – Assistant Professor of Voice, Reinhardt University D.J. Seaman, Bass – Freelance Singer, Greenville, SC Bring your choir, family, friends and neighbors! We look forward to seeing all of you there for a fun evening of music. Many thanks to Bill Ducworth for hosting Pedals, Pipes and Pizza at Grace Episcopal, Saturday, October 13.
