------------------------------------------------- World Organ Day Chesapeake Bay Foundation Benefit Concert Monday, May 6, 2013, 7:30pm Calvary UMC, Annapolis Ken Cowan will perform an organ concert at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Chestertown, Maryland on 17 May at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children and students and are available at the door. Emmanuel Episcopal Church is located at 101 North Cross Street in Chestertown. For more information please call the church office at 410 778 3477 from 9 to 1 on Mondays through Fridays. Ken is currently Associate Professor and head of the organ program at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music in Houston, Texas. “It is difficult to find enough adjectives to describe Ken Cowan’s playing. St John Lutheran Church, Brooklyn, seeks to fill a position for a part-time (approximately 12 hours weekly) for a music director/organist. The music director will play for Sunday services, direct a small choir, preferably direct a small bell choir, and be available for funerals, weddings, and special services as scheduled.
