Message from the Dean

Greetings, and welcome to the homepage of the Springfield, Missouri Chapter of the American Guild of Organists!

Our chapter is an organization that meets together to support and encourage the professional development of organists and the use of the organ in Southwest Missouri. We hold monthly meetings at different locations in the area, and our programs are geared towards providing education and support for organists, church music leaders, and organ enthusiasts. Membership is open to interested persons, and we invite you to join us as our guest for any upcoming meeting. Please join us!

Chapter Members to present a program featuring the organ works of Felix Mendelssohn in honor of the 200th anniversary year of his birth. Please consider learning one movement of a Prelude & Fugue or Sonata to present in common with your fellow Chapter Members!

St. James Episcopal Church
Chapter Fellowship Dinner and Business Meeting
Please make plans to enjoy dinner prepared by St. James Church. At 7:00 p.m. we'll adjourn to the Sanctuary to hear the organ, and conduct Chapter business. Included in the agenda will be collection of dues, feedback on 2008-2009 programming, suggestions for upcoming programming,financial report, and election of Chapter Officers.
